Here are some of the first miniatures I've painted in 15yrs. Still need to get back up to format, but now looking towards airbrushing. Any C&C most welcome! Always looking to improve and learn.

At my desk

Well, I enjoyed turning my monitor upside down to look at them (You may want to sort out their rotation there)

But despite photo rotation they look very good. The colours are clean and the highlighting is very neat. If I have any criticism (and this first one is very much my opinion and yours may differ) it's that your plasma effect needs to be smoother, try putting a blue glaze over it if you can. The basing is also good (something that is often overlooked by other painters). Nicely done

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Outer Space, Apparently

That is some mighty impressive work considering that you haven't probably even touched a brush for 15 years - I particularly like the effects on the power weapons for the Company Master, Librarian and Deathwing Sergeant

My only recommendation would be to thin your paints with a bit of water to produce a more smooth finish on the model; I only started this about half a year ago and it has made my models look infinitely better.

Also if you are painting the rest of the DV set then consider checking out the tutorials for all the models in it on Warhammer TV on Youtube

Other than that, great stuff!

Thanks! I don't know what is going on with the rotation. I showcased them in the Gallery and they uploaded without a problem.
