I'd be tempted to put a brownish wash over that armour, but that may just be me! Very cool model and nice attention to the base as well. Good face, cool vials, and the tabbard-y thing is great as well. Will be a fab army!

I like the colors, and you've got a clean, smooth finish which looks nice.
But the primary color looks pretty flat without any edge highlighting. It looks like there is just a hint of edging, but it's extremely faint.
I would recommend a more pronounced edge highlight in a light gray or white, so that it doesn't alter the overall color scheme, but it will help un-flatten the model quite a bit.

Beauty, I love it, perfect colour scheme; I like the fleshy waistband, and the black/silver combo on the gun. He's very clean, and if that's what you're going for then perfect!

The scheme is perfect! It keeps that DE feel, but has a unique color as well!

The scheme is good. I think you need to put a wash in the recesses, between the plates of the armor, to add more detail, though it could just be the camera. I can tell there's some highlighting done, and it does look a little darker in certain spots.

Hey guys and thanks a lot for the comments!
I was actually going for a flatter look on the armour than we usually see on DE. I've painted a DE-army before and went nuts with the explosive edge-highlighting so I wanted to tone those down a lot this time around.
With that being said, I agree that I definitely could improve on the contrast with a bit more edge highligting.

I love how smooth you got all the colours to be, especially on the armour. Like some my initial thought was that it could use a wash or edge highlight to add depth to the armour but after looking at it longer I feel that as it is it has a unique style all its own that would look great spread across many units.
The other details are very well done too, the skin (both face and tabard), the gems and especially those drug vials on the back all look fantastic. Look forward to seeing more DE in this style, great work.

I like the colour scheme you've gone with, though I would suggest adding in a little extra highlighting to the armour, as right now it looks a little flat. Other than that, well done!

That's nice work! I really love the "dead" flesh look of his skin. That dude needs some sunlight...which fits the DE really well.
I can see the reason for the call for shading, but the highlights is where we hit the catch 22...I have no argument against the idea that it is a miniature and needs to stand out, and edge highlights look great! But the ex infantry officer and military historian in me cringes at the idea any battle gear needs glinty stuff on it. I know, I know...tabletop and 40k universe vs realism, and the truth is I'm usually on the fluff side.
But, after all that, I kind of like the flat nature.
Also, I hope to see some more so keep sharing!

Yep, looks really good...and I've never taken to Dark Eldar much at all. I wouldn't bother with the wash, etc. and extra work. It's a gaming figure and we're judging it using a macro lens pictures.
He's good to go, roll on.

I am so happy I decided to share my picture with you! A lot of great criticism and insightful comments!
@edwardmyst
Exactly, those are the thoughts I went through as well. I have made a lot of experiments with color schemes, many of which have been traditional 40k-style, with exaggerated highlights. And while I really like that style a lot and use it on other armies, I wanted to do something different with my Dark Eldar.
My philosophy is that if you paint something really alien and evil in a more "realistic" and thus "flat" style, it looks more frightening. It tones down the comic book villain aspect.
Is my swenglish making any sense?

Doing fine with the spenglish ...I also didn't mention that base. Very well done! In particular that bit of fluffy plant is great! Sometimes I struggle with the static grasses and standing upright. Whatever you did there to get it to look like a "dome" of soft grass, came out perfect. Mind sharing? Is it just a batch you held upright, glued on, then adjusted?

I thinkn it needs some shading, a dark wash of some kind. The colour and brightness of the armour looks a little too Eldar to me. I love alternate non-dark DE schemes (my own Kabal are bone coloured) but I think this one is too bright.

That's some subtle highlighting! It might not show up from a distance, but on this close up it sure looks great.
