Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone Else have trouble downloading the generals handbook on the iOS version of the app? It took the purchase just fine, but when I click download nothing happens?

Any advice? Thanks.

I don't you about that, but I did buy the digital version from Black Library, and it is HORRIFIC to read on a PC. No Epub reader I can find will display it correctly, or it is unable to be zoomed in on.

It worked fine for me this morning. Took less than a minute to download.

Can anyone tell me how the app is when you purchase the General's Handbook? I'm disappointed that the points arn't added to the app for free. But if the army builder is GREAT, I may consider buying the General's handbook in the app... even though I already bought my physical copy... rumble rumble.

There is an army builder in the App? I will be like Vida. How is the app then? Would be worth what they are asking? What does the app have beside the army builder compared to the paper book?

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Reposted from the news and rumour section.
I have the digital copy as I live in Japan and there aren't any stores near me. It has everything in the handbook except the beastclaw Raiders for some reason. It has the forgeworld points, though not the silver tower points yet. It also does not have a points calculator yet which is a bit disappointing.
If you have the physical version there is no reason to get the digital one as well. A good points calculator might change that.

It is also worth noting that the iOS version is fine but the android version is very unstable after the latest update.

Thank you Chickout. I will keep my eye open when the iOS version has the extras. If not, like you said, no use getting.

Hopefully this app will be updated as more things start coming, then it might be worth getting then.

I've purchased the GH on my iPhone and all I've gotten are the pints values. We don't get the whole book digitally?

Yes you do. It's located under "gaming aides" under the books tab.

You get all the FAQ for the book as well.

I had the same problem with the first AoS book. I was told that GW is using some non-standard file format that most readers don't display properly. The only reader I could find that would read the file properly was an app called Kobo Books.

Kobo +1.
I normally prefer Google Books, but the epub's too big to upload.
Kobo is (from what I've heard) what GW test on, and it displays the book on all platforms I've tried just fine.
Shame it won't let you search for text, but meh.

I just have a recurring and worsening problem of the app failing to download, crashing, and registering content as locked (even stuff that's free for anyone). Generally glitchy as all hell, and there doesn't seem to be a support contact anywhere.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

I've had success in the past with digital@gwplc.com.
