So i just finish my first 3 figures ever painted. From far theyblook ok but when i took the pics I realized how many mistakes i did. I see that my layers need to be thinner. And my highlights are far from clean. But what else could i do better. And how can i improve in the thinks i just point out. Are the color off my highlights off ? To light maybe? Thanks for the advice.

You went overkill on the highlights. For example the top of the shins. They are indeed too light. Try giving them a thin brush over with the base color to bring them down a bit? Other than that, it's pretty good. Very clean painting. Keep up the good work. With practice comes perfection.

If these really are the first figures you've EVER painted, you're doing stellar!

The main thing that will help you is practice. It just takes time to learn how to thin the paints your actually using, how to see where to put highlights, etc. If your first three look this good, your last three will look tons better.

The other issue is that these guys look pretty good for rank and file models, they really do. To each their own, but I really wouldn't be putting too much more time into these guys. Save the special stuff and time for character models and army showpieces.

These are very good, and better work than many people I know. Well done.
