Hi all i had a question about modelling and painting up my imperial fist legion

My idea behind the army is Sigismund as the leader and focused around templar style warriors as if they might eventually be some of the dudes who become the first black templars

So i like painting the templar brethren black with yellow helms and pauldrons so could i potentially (after some mixing of bits) have my tactical squad seargents look like templar brethren? The normal legionaries would be yellow as normal IFs but just the seargents would be black and yellow. Vehicles would remain yellow.

What do you guys think? Would it work? I attached an image to help explain my thoughts

I think it's a cool idea. IDK if the fluff supports the colour scheme for the sergeants but I care more about enjoyable, interesting ideas than strict adherence to fluff.

Maybe you should try painting the helmets yellow too, to give a bit stronger Fists look to them. The nearly all black sergeant looks a bit lost in the middle of a ring of yellow.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I don't know the Heresy organization of the Fists well enough to tell you if that makes sense fluff-wise or not, but it looks really damn cool, which should be reason enough! The only confusion might be if you have Templar Brethren squads if they do different things.
