Hi all, just wanted to confirm with poeple the command trait red fury.
As it states "roll a dice after your general attacks in the combat phase. If the roll is less than the number of wounds inflicted, they can immediately attack again."
As this gets taken with vamp lord on zombie dragon, would that include the zombies attacks as well or just the lords. In my eyes it should just be the lords?
Interested to get people's thoughts.

The dragon does not count as a seperate model to the lord, so you would count his attacks as well.

Just seems very broken, out of all the traits from all alliances this one just seems a little over powered.

can you choose the command trait or is it random in competitive play?

You can choose, but they are arranged on d6 charts if players want to roll instead.

It is pretty good on a stabby vampire, but if you look at Death Generics, they aren't quite as good as what Destruction, Chaos, and Order get already.

I think Death get the strongest. That 6+ damage save on all units within 10" of a Hero is massive.

As far as traits go, yea. I meant generic heroes, not Battle Traits.

One thing you could do is always pick a monster or something else with a lot of attacks if you really wanted to due to the wording on picking a general. "nominate one of the models you set up as your general."

That's true. It's also the only way to get your general inside a unit.

Sorry, I misunderstood. Although I rate Vampire Lords on Zombie Dragons - are you saying heroes like that aren't as good as other faction equivalents?

I don't have my GHB to hand right now, but I thought you must pick a hero to be your general in Matched Play.

I don't think so.
Vampires themselves are fairly tame, and their spells not so great.
Vamp on Zombie Dragon is good, but ..
440 points.
-All three bloodthirsters are cheaper. In fact, you could get 2 Bloodthirsters for the same cost and 28 wounds worth of behemoths. (+- 20 points)
-Kairos is cheaper.
-The Lord Celestant is cheaper.
Pretty much we have the most expensive 14 wound generic in the game. Our 5 wound generics are also not very good, not when compared to Order and Chaos.

Man... are people not counting Tomb Kings among Death when they say Death lags behind in terms of tough, cheap support heroes, killy big monsters, etc? TK are incredibly strong right now, and as a force multiplier alone, Settra is one of the best models in the game.
Necrosphinx is a brutal heavy hitter as well, amongst other good options.

Correct me if I am wrong but, it says you immediately attack again...could a savvy opponent just take away the models closest to your general so he is out of range with his attacks? It doesn't say you get to pile-in again...
Nvm... Reading the rules an attack is broken into two steps...pile-in, then the Attacking part.

Keep in mind that a vamp on dragon in GHB will have the best upgrades for free, meaning he's rocking a 3+ save and a 1d6 heal once per game, on top of healing for model-killing. Not saying he's the most undercosted monster around be he's far from being a poor choice in that regard.
Though it just occurred to me that I am arguing that he's not worse than other monsters because he's as overpowered for the cost as they are...

I'd say Glotkin and warp fire throwers not being limited and so low in point cost are about the most undercosted things in Sigs at the moment.
