A Warseer refugee here. I used to hang out on the paintlng project section there but it seems the website is now gone forever and if it ever does comeback it will be a dead zone and so I was recommended to come here so thought I would give a go.

I am in to all things miniatures so in this Painting log you will find pictures of WHFB/AOS, WH40K, WH30K, Infinity, FoW, Malifaux, Frostgrave, Bolt Action, Toughest Girls of the Galaxy, Hail Caesar, Saga and various Board Games too. I would say though that at least 80% of my miniatures though are of GW origin.

Below you will find some pictures of my previous work and some projects to come. Currently working on finishing a box of Frostgrave soldiers.

I do play sometimes though mostly at the moment playing board games, Execution Force, Rum & Bones, Imperial Assault and X Wing.

The change from WHFB to AOS really cut down on my GW gaming and there are very few still running the 8th or moved to the 9th where I am.

I am currently in the middle of painting the Soldiers, Liche and Apprentice from Frostgrave and 8 Tomb King Skeleton Horse Archers as well as Malus Darkblade, all are at least base coated.

I still however have a huge amount of things to paint with the list below. Next things on my mind to paint are to complete some board games so thinking of doing Execution Force, Space Hulk and Lost Patrol next.

Oh my god, that's such a massive to do list!

So after a massive break from painting due to Divorce and moving house I am now back trying to at least get some of this painted.

Unfortunately the to do list has got bigger in the interim, however, all models have now been built, 70% have at least been undercoated and 25% of those have a basecoat spray such as the Space Marines, Necrons etc.

Frostgrave Soldiers are complete, Skeleton Horse Archers just some finishing touches.

Currently painting Execution Force, with 5 x Cultists nearing completion and the Chaos Marines and Terminator Sorceror Lord about 50% complete, painted as Iron Warriors.

Some X Wing fun with my new Hoth mat

Played first game of Shadow War Armageddon too, so been putting some scenery together and doing some base coating.

Iron Warriors CSM and Sorceror Lord in Terminator Armour done

Chaos Familiar and Eversor Assassin done next up the Vindicare Assassin.

Contrast has been a god send for me having so little time and an enormous backlog of epic proportions.

Ke'lshan Tau finished - All contrast painted except for the Gold details and the Razorshark.

I see the coffee effect and actually quite like it in this case Tau are often show very clean I quite like this battle worn look where they have been in a tough city fight for a long time.

Next up Rum & Bones.

Very nice use of the contrast paints on the Tau, they look great. What was the colour you used for the main armour?

Hi the main armour on larger models was done with 1 Basilicanum Grey with 2 Contrast Medium.

Without the contrast medium I found it was very patchy on the larger models and didn’t look great.

The smaller models same colour without contrast medium.

Thats the last of the Bone Devil Deckhands done.

So now all Bone Devil Crew is complete now on to Wellsport Brotherhood Crew and then the Characters after that.

Nice to see some of these painted up. I keep looking for painted Iron Inquisition models as Miniaturemarket has had that set on clearance a few times and I thought of making a kings of War Conquistador army from them.

Thats a great idea.

I always thought the Rum & Bones Bone Deviles would be great for a Sartosan Pirate skirmish force.
