I found some videos I like on how to paint them and adapted a couple techniques. I'm pleased with them except for the gemstones, next time I'll air brush those and mask off as it's very hard to wet blend them yet keep them from running.

9-18 added dire avengers. I didn't want to many details to keep the painting process quick. I plan on breaking the aspect shrine color schemes to keep the Army uniform and quick. I even left the overspray on their guns.

Yep, looks good...needs a bit more contrast, but it could just be the photos (they look a little washed out). Pretty cool scheme, will you be using the same on your guardians?

Yeah they are getting washed out sadly. Seems like it's missing the violet colors. For the guys I just copied the paint scheme. I don't want to hand pick details to much. Trying to keep the army quick to paint.

That's pretty amazing work for a "first crack"

You use a stencil?

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Yeah used a stencil. Not the stick on kind. I stole the whole scheme from a beasts of war stencil video, and took the cockpit colors from a veterans of the long war pod cast. Was looking for a simple cut and paste airbrush job that looks good.

Normally I think eldar look extremely stupid. But I feel like with how you painted them they actually look really good. How did you do those hexes on them?

Ultramarine 6000 : Imperial Knights 1700 : Grey Knights 1000 : Ad mech 500 :Nids 4000 : Necrons 500 : Death watch 500

Google beasts of war anarchy models. They have a bunch of different stencils and I just replicated their tutorial on the eldar.

Rotary, we need to sort you out a light box, brother. You have some nice lookin' paintwork, but your pics aren't showing them off.

My god, these all look amazing! This is the kind of army that makes me want to sell my Eldar off; mine will never be this good.

Welcome to the Freakshow!
