Here is the first model that I have really tried my hand at painting well. Any feedback on my Weirdboy would be appreciated! Thanks!

It looks very good for a first try.

A little bit of constructive criticism, the entire model can use a bit of shading, using a shade paint like GW's Nuln Oil all over the model with darker the entire model down a bit, but will really help define the recesses of the mini, especially his skin.

Awesome start!

You have good brush control, and that is half the battle IMO.

To take it to the next level you'll want to use shades and highlights. Each shade/wash will give it a bit of a different look, for example Nuln Oil is a black wash, and Agrax Earthshade is more brown (you put them on very lightly so they settle mostly in recesses). From there re-highlight with the original color.

Alternatively, just shade the recesses so you don't have to worry about re-highlighting with the main color.

Edge highlights can also make a big difference.

That being said...I'd be perfectly happy seeing orks like that, it's a very good table top standard.
