I mean we can probably all agree that the Imperium sees Chaos as a bigger threat to it than the other xenos races...

but Chaos seems to be fixated on the Imperium and doesn't bother the other Xenos (Eldar, Necron, Tau etc.)

Chaos are a major influence to the Eldar and how they behave, since it was the debauchery of the Eldar that gave birth to Slaanesh in the first place. This affects both the Craftworld Eldar (who use soulstones and are terrified of Slaaneshi daemons), Dark Eldar (who often offer up the souls of others in their place and use life-extension techniques to stave off death), and Harlequins (whos souls are protected by their god and keep the story of the Fall alive).

In older fluff, Necrons and the C'tans despised the old ones for using the Warp and wanted to separate it entirely from the material universe. They had no idea this would actually tear out the souls of every living being in the process (they had no souls). Before their 5th edition retcon much of their weapons were anti-Chaos simply because they were anti-warp, and were (and still) incorruptable because they have no souls to corrupt.

Tau have no warp presence despite having a soul for some reason, leading to them believing the Warp and Chaos to be some myth concocted by the superstitious Imperium. Indeed a lot of Tau Commanders do not believe daemons exist until they're right up in their face. Kroot do seem to know about Chaos, but they're not fleshed out enough to know the extent.

Orks are genetically engineered to be almost singleminded about war, which on occasion attracts the attention of Khorne. However they're usually more concentrated on the Waaagh, which is like a religious crusade for them, to care (although there's a few instances of Khornate Orks). Khorne (and the other chaos gods) likewise usually don't bother because of this.

Finally, the Tyranids's warp presence is simply the Hive Mind. This is apparently so alien a concept to even Chaos that they find it near impossible to really corrupt Nids (in that they can't seem to get any converts, not that they can't mutate them). The nids, being little more than singleminded animals, probably don't have a concept of worship either.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

^This.

Also it depends on whether you are talking about Chaos Daemons or Chaos Space Marines. CSM obviously have extreme hatred of the imperium meaning that they tend to leave Xenos alone in favour of screwing over the imperium. Also, as a whole, CSM have a much greater influence in the mortal realm than Daemons seeing as though Daemons either need a very bad warp storm, a warp gate to be opened or chaos sorcerors to summon them in order to fight in the mortal realm.

Because Chaos converts its followers.
Even if humans were the most susceptible to Chaos(they are) Chaos would target them because they have the most worlds and the most power. A tactic that works on one human world probably works on another, so good to practice it.

Because the Imperium of Man is the focus of the setting. There could be thousand-world Xenos empires that are continually battling Chaos that we don't even hear about, because the Galaxy is so large and the focus on humanity.

No in-universe reason no.
The reason is that the vast majority of fluff is centered on the Imperium, making it look like Chaos is fixated almost exclusively on it. In-universe, Chaos is supposed to pay a lot of attention to other factions as well. It is just that we rarely ever hear of those other factions.

... probably because they don't last very long.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Mankind represents the most numerous non-Ork faction. They're also spread all over the galaxy (as opposed to say, Tau who are confined to one area of the fringe, or the Eldar who exist in tiny pockets).

Three of the four Chaos Gods were formed/shaped by humans (and the one formed by the Eldar has a particular interest in them).
