Just moved from the west to east coast a few months ago and told myself that I would focus on 40K more now that I have a gaming store close to me. Ive bought some models every now and then the past 3-4 years but I havnt really played nor painted at all. Decided I should start digging into the few 1000's of dollars of models I have either NIB or unpainted. Piles of armies just collecting dust. I strayed from Dakka as well. Havnt posted really at all until yesterday for almost as long as I haven't painted haha. Posting progress photos kind of motivates me to paint more so here I am.

Space marines are one of the 4 codexs I have that are current so i went with some centurions that were primed black and assembled from a few years ago. Never got around to painting them. Started these yesterday.

Heres the progress from yesterday afternoon and today. A little rusty but I can feel it coming back to me.

I'll be honest. I struggle to hide my bias and dislike of various models and modeling tendencies. That being said, they look well painted and I think you're headed in the right direction. Keep it up.

Those look pretty nice so far. I just recently painted a Centurion squad of my own, albeit in very different colors (mine are Blood Ravens). For being out for a few years, you certainly haven't lost your touch, it seems.

Almost done with details and I finished the bases. So close to finishing my first minis in 3.5 years.

I got the first layer of paint for the Chapter markings down today. Officially Ultramarines.

did you forget to paint the crest on the sergeants head? rest of the models look cool as bruh

Not yet. Ive been using it as a point for my finger to hold the model so I havnt painted it yet. Wouldnt want to mess it up. It will probably be the last part I paint on that one.
