Just finished painting my House Terryn Imperial Knight. I went ahead and splurged on the House Terryn upgrade kit from Forgeworld, mostly because I hate decals, and I'm very glad I did. I wanted to go for a very battle-worn, grubby looking Knight, and I think I achieved that. Arms, torso, carapace weapons are all magnetized, and I'll be working on a simple base later this week. C&C always appreciated.

Very very nice! I've mostly seen knights painted in nice bright and clean paint jobs, I like the subdued and battle worn look that you gave yours. The upgrade kit looks good, I've looked at getting one as well for my knight as well as I am really bad with transfers and have no talent for free-handing. What are you're thoughts for the base? I can really see that knight walking around in a swampy and dirty area or even a ruined city scape, based on the dirty look.

Thanks for the kind words. The upgrade kit isn't cheap, but ended up being worth it in the end. I like the idea of a ruined cityscape for the base, but the model itself is so big, it's hard to add a lot of detail. I'll do something suitably drab, maybe with some junk or wrecked vehicles parts.
