She wanted to get into painting 40k so here is her very first attempt at painting Word Bearers Chaos Space Marines (or any model ever for that matter). She was super intent on doing snow on the bases and I think it turned out pretty well. Let me know what you guys think!

They look pretty good and neat but I'd say you need to take better photos to get more feedback!

The black wash (I assume?) along the metal edging really makes the paint job look awesome.
My first army was chaos and it took me a while to make metallics look good, she seems to not have that problem.
As best I can tell, her brush accuracy is quite good too.
The hobbyist in me is thinking she is a keeper!

<edit> The flesh on the far left guy could use a wash, it is too uniform, only "complaint" I could make really.

If that's her first attempt, she's a long shot ahead of some of us when we started.. good work.

They look really good! Especially for a first attempt. The paint is nice and smooth, and very neat, and the wash adds shade and definition. I like how the metallic parts look - a bit old and worn. The bases are also excellent. Was this really a first attempt? She's got a knack for it! You are probably a good teacher too - I guess you helped her avoid some of the pitfalls a first-time painter often falls into by advising her to Thin The Paints among other things.

Or maybe she's been secretly watching Duncan videos behind your back...

Haha, I did help her when she first started, gave her pointers and was there to answer her questions. It's funny that you mentioned Duncan Rhodes because I definitely showed her some of his videos to help her out and so that she could see some of the techniques in action. She has been watching quite a few!
