No offence, but the head is comically large. If that's what you were going for, you've done a great job, but if not, you might want to rethink it.

Thanks for the input guys, the head is off a daemon prince and it is supposed to be slightly oversied for a comical effect

Personally I'd maybe repaint the head to match the armour to make it look like some ornate helmet.

Other than that, looks pretty good though to finish it properly I'd give the whole thing a wash of nuln oil or something.

So, is it a Space Wolf or a Daemon? The head looks...terrible if I'm honest.

Honest opinion is the head has to go. I see what you're going for but this just looks too odd. Everything else looks great.

I like that mace! Looks appropriate for a Chaos-turned Marine.

Agree with others about the head size, though if that is what you were going for in terms of comically large you nailed it.

If you wanted to decrease the size I'd imagine a regular Bloodletter head would do the trick.

Canada eh?

I like it, but I struggle to see how that is a possible wolfen mutation considering he has no fur...

Sneshy, its not a wolfen mutation its a full on daemonic mutation

Shall try and get a bloodletter head and see what it looks like, also might paint up a second head to see what it looks like matching the armour.

About the Nul oil, I need to buy something like that to finish it off just havent got to the shop yet.

Don't buy nuln oil, It's only good for metallics. Buy agrax earthshade, it works on basically everything.

The head looks very out of place but everything else is pretty damn good.

I won't echo the comments about the head, because I think that's just going over old ground.

I would however suggest painting the mace and weapon more so they match the model. The overall conversion is good, but at present it kind of looks like they're just stuck on and could be tied together by a slightly more limited palette.

Keep it up

Sorry to beat on a dead horse, but I once read that a trick comic book artists use to make a character look larger is to give them a smaller head, and vice versa. Giving him a smaller head should, ironically perhaps, actually make him look bigger and more imposing. His current head makes his body look small; now you did say you gave him a big head for comical effect so maybe that's what you were going for, but based on the feedback I guess that didn't quite come through? Perhaps it's because 40K is just so un-subtle to begin with, that if you want to get across a "comedic effect" you have to really go overboard? I don't know, just theorizing.

Moving on, the pose is a bit generic; he's not exactly aiming the gun (it's pointed downwards a bit), and he's not exactly doing anything with the mace, he's just kind of... holding them. Now I realise that it takes a lot of work to reposition Space Marine arms to get a natural pose - Terminators even more so - so this isn't so much a criticism (most dual-wielding Space Marines, even in official poses, look quite static and a little unnatural to me), as just something to think about in general when converting.

I think perhaps just rotating the gun arm upwards so the gun is pointing horizontally, and rotating the mace arm downwards so the mace is in a more relaxed position (I would suggest having the mace itself pointing downwards a little bit, so mace head is close to the ground) would give the model more purpose; that way he's obviously using the gun and not focussing on the mace (but obviously it's ready to be brought into action if needed). Perhaps if you can aim the gun a little to his right (rather than straight ahead), and rotate his head a little so it's facing in the direction he's pointing the gun, then it could make it a bit less "stiff".

I hope I didn't come across as too negative; I'm just trying to make suggestions that I hope will be useful.

D4V1D0 he is wielding the black mace, so when I am more confident at painting and shading black I will be going back to the mace.

Soul Samurai thanks for the input about him being quite static I have noticed that with my current project of a sorcerer in terminator armour, While you have given plenty of criticism I wouldnt say its negative, it all helps with my next model.

I shall have a fiddle with the arms next time I pull him a part and see if I can get him in a nicer stance
