I've been thinking of a theme for my orks. They have an uncanny ability to piece together weapons out of almost anything. But they have very few energy weapons. I figured it might be due to a general inability to make effective batteries and engines. Virtually all ork vehicles are still powered by crude combustion engines. So for my Zzap Gun battery I plan to have them all wired to different kind of stolen power sources.

First up, a Zzap Gun wired to the internal power core of a fallen Sentinel!

Zzap Gun nr 2! The orks have found a mysterious Tau gadget (floor panel & computer station) and hotwired it to one of their old dreadnought arms to boost it's power.

Nr 3 is up! A simple one, but orks like simple! When you've conqured a lascannon, why not just hook it up to a bunch of the beakies engine backpacks! And let's taunt the 'umies for turning their own gear against them!

I'd like to see a bit more thinking like this in human forces. I reckon there'd be plenty of jury-rigged gear on all sides. Whatever works to get the job done.
