Hey all! I'm working on a Kill Team and Combat Patrol for Adepticon. Kind of running out of time, so these will probably be all I get done. Let me know what you guys think...

The first pics are of the Pathfinder contingent. The next few are of a Pathfinder and Fire Warrior followed by the Pathfinders together. The Fire Warrior scheme is here to stay, but the Pathfinders are up in the air. I like the brown cloth, but something about it seems off. Not sure about the green cloth. Please keep in mind that they are WIP, so not all the details or bases are done.

Figured I'd post some better pics of the ire Warrior. The base has undergone some reimagining. I was going to do a Mars type base, but decided to go with winter bases.

I was looking on my phone at the pictures you sent me. Now that I've seen them on my computer, the green doesn't look as bad as I thought it did. The only thing I would change with the green, is make it more a camouflage green color, instead of a emerald color. That would make it better I think.

With them side by side, the brown does seem good though, so would have to say go with your gut on this one, and see what others on here say.

I love the Fire Warrior scheme though, those are perfect.

I see what you mean with the green. I had to work with what i have. If i did more of an olive drab, i would need to mix it. Not against that, but harder to get the same results everytime. I may see what hobby lobby has for vallejo model colors, too.

Yeah, see what Hobby Lobby has, otherwise go with the brown.

Brown cloth FTW. It's got an awesome 70's sci-fi vibe to it.

I like that brown color, so I am going with that for Adepticon. I'll see what strikes my fancy for the next Pathfinders. I've got two squads to do. Chances are I will end up with multiple squads from different Septs, not one big army all the same scheme.

Couple shots with the whole team on bases. I've yet to complete the details (carbines, feet, etc) or get them integrated into the bases (piled up snow and mud, etc). And... I apologize that these were taken with my phone, at night, with horrible lighting.

Yeah I think the brown is a good call, the bases look quite nice too.

gummyofallbears, thx for the compliment! I have decided that my Tau army will not follow the standard 'every unit shares the same scheme.' The following pics are of what the Stealthsuits will look like.

The quality of the paintjob looks really good. I don't think the brown/grey guys work the predominantly grey base (personally). They really get lost and the nice paintjob goes a bit under-appreciated I think.

I agree with you that they get lost in the bases. If I hadn't gone so bold on the bases themselves the effect may not be as noticeable. A caveat to that, however, the pics are with my phone and really poor lighting. In person they stand apart more from the bases. The rest of my army contrasts pretty well with the bases, though.
