My most recent project (so recent it has not started till tomorrow morning), is going to be my Imper. I mean Astra Militarum regiment, the 24th South Praetorian Boarders.
The models of this army are primarily made up of 28mm Anglo Zulu war mini's I bought from warlords, combined with a few pieces from perry's collection.
The army is basically a homage of sorts to the 24th South Wales Borderers, formerly the 24th regiment of Foot (famous for the battles of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift, among others)
Right now all I have for y'all is the art for Praetorian Guard, as well as some of the 24th SWB (taken from multiple sources, I did NOT do any of this art)

First Update! Sorry for the delay in any update. Its been a busy couple days. So what I've gotten done so far is based the entire army, and finished work on the pants, helmets, and faces of my guardsmen. Tomorrow I will be working on their boots and the details of their faces, And gonna try and get most of the White Webbing done, as well as ordering up a swap of guns for them so they look more "Bolt Action Lasgun"-y.
On that last note does anyone know of any manufacturers who make 28mm true sci fi arms that would look "right" with these guys? I know GW 28 on 28 true looks goofy...

Are you cool with this on this board or would you prefer this being in the blog section ?

If you want it moved hit the alert and we'll do it.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Well it is a painting and modeling project, so I figured it would go here... if you think otherwise, you may move it

Hi there, as i am sure you probably already know Victoria Miniatures are probably your best bet. Finding true 28mm is rather hard. That said there is no reason not to try them out and see what they look like.

Good luck with your project. I have yet to start my own Praetorians but I hope to watch your efforts with interest.

I declare a challenge...

GW weapons might fit the arms alright worth checking if their slightly big gravity variation maybe?

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. I have no plan to fly all the way to England at this juncture in time Llamahead. If your challenge was more of a "My army is cooler then your army, I gladly except. it will take me some time though to finish these lads...
