So, I never much cared for the green of the Dark Angels, so, I painted a bunch using dark purple. I think the results came out pretty nice.

Damn, that was a surprise treat to click on! The purple goes really well with the both on the terminators/robes on regular dudes.

As a standalone colour on the dread, it looks great too!

Any reason you didn't incorporate the purple into the flyer as well?

All in all great job mate!

I have always felt that the color purple is a very regal color. It is good to see Dark Angels done with differing paint work from the standard way of going about it with robes & armor.

The bleached bone/bone white armor & shields look very smooth and carefully shaded/washed.

I am thinking that maybe your idea for the Raven Wing Dark Talon was to keep with the theme that the 2nd Company Dark Angels retained their original Jet Black Armor Color & perhaps that is why it is black instead of purple.

I hadn't thought of that, but it makes sense since he kept the bone colouring of the 1st company Deathwing guys.

Purple is a good color for Dark Angels as a replacement for green, as it works well on the armor as well as the Termies' tabards. I think those models look great!

Very nice. Purple is a good royal color, and fits the Angels well. It emphasizes how regal and aloof they are.

She actually, and yes, I didn't want to completely rework the lore of the Dark Angels, just the base color they all use. Also, black is cool, so no need to change black

Top job. Really makes the most of the bone-armour termies. Props for going out on that limb and swingin' it in style.

You think you've seen it all and then...
