Looks fething dope! All I recommend is basing the critter. Will make him far better looking and create an excellent atmosphere for him and your army.

Looking sweet!

A molten base might be a tad too much for the model and distract the eye away from the fiery carapace.
Might I suggest a slightly darker base, that while keeping your molten theme is more like a lava that has nearly hardened. Black crusted top surface with a few fiery cracks.
