Anyhow, couldn't resist the hype and started painting something I wanted to do for a really long time. And that is the poster boys, the Ultramarines, hands down I love their color scheme and how they will look with my Custodes. Anyhow, here's a test model, I will try to paint up the tactical squad before the end of May! Cheers

Next Ultramarine! 2/10 done and we're keeping it rolling! Bought the Ultramarines upgrade sprue so the shoulder pads don't look as boring, you'll see them in action on all of the next miniatures that I paint. Cheers!

Clean and crisp paint jobs, and a very nice and simple base.

Excellent stuff, keep 'em coming!

The armies that I collect:

- Tyranids, 2,000 pts.
- Orks, 1,250 pts.
- Tau, 750 pts.
- Guard (PDF), 750 pts.

(Yes I have a thing for horde armies to some extent)

Just a suggestion and you can throw it in the toilet, but you might think about some shading/inkwash to really set out those details.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

Heya fellas! So after looking at my own minis for some time (to all new painters, I highly suggest to always give yourself the harshest critique, constantly look at your work) I realized that the space marines are missing their core detail, the chapter insignia of course. I went to Heretic Games (LGS in San Bruno, California) and bought a space marines upgrade sprue. I think off the bat it made a huge difference to the model, having that U on the shoulder pad! Without further ado I bring you my 3rd painted Ultramarine. To be honest, I never was so excited to paint just vanilla marines, I always thought of them as boring and bland, but I quickly realized that they are the perfect way to sharpen your technique, I truly believe that a paint job does the miniature justice, not the sculpt. So far, been receiving nothing but positive feedback and it really motivates me to paint more. As always let me know what you think!
P.S white background works way better than black.
