Hey all!

So... this is a Knight I'm currently working on as a test bed for my KX-139 Ta'unar Supremacy Armor (I know, I know blasphemy against the Imperium). More importantly, I have made leaps and bounds with using yellow thru the airbrush, and using pre-shading.

Also, I have spent a lot of time working on my weathering of the structural parts- legs, torso, etc. I haven't worked the arms yet and used them as a comparison with the legs. Once all the transfers are on, my next step will be to add some dirt/grime with oils to the armor pieces.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome; and, please excuse the fact that much of the detail is yet to be done.

Thanks all!

Thx! I've always been a fan of golden yellow versus the brighter sun yellow. I think it has kind of a rich look to it.

Looking good so far. Also +1 for cheddar yellow over pale daisy yellow. Much stronger. I even use ochre for some yellow components on my models.

Thx Elbows! Yeah, the paisley yellow is just not right for the sheer awesomeness that is a Knight.

I've attached a few more pics after applying some battle damage, chipping, and dirt/grime.

I'm liking the weathering you have done, that smoke dusting is awesome,

Its coming along very nicely. Can't wait to see the finished Knight in all its glory.

Thx bro! Yeah, the weathering is a blast to do. I'm going to use this guy as a test bed for transferring techniques to the KX-139 Supremacy Armor. I finally went and got mask so I can start working on that guy!

ok, so....

I'm not sure I can call this a Freeblade anymore. I started using House Cadmus iconography and decided to throw on some of the Cadmus colors- particularly the green/red combo. I threw up an example I found thru a Google search of the traditional Cadmus scheme. I wanted to specifically go with the yellow as a primary color, so that won't be changing. It would be a pain, but I could redo the shield and faceplate. The more I look at it, the more it grows on me. Bear in mind the weathering/damage hasn't been done on the faceplate/shield so they will blend more. Any opinions or thoughts are welcome

Sorry, that's what I get for posting HUGE pics. These should be better.

Well... here she is, minus the base and a dullcote. Her name is 'Snaga'; anyone familiar with David Gammell's books will recognize the name as that of Druss the Legend's axe- "The words were part of the dark folklore of the Drenai; Snaga, the sender, the blades of no return."

I am pretty happy with the final results. I decided to keep the base fairly simple and am working on it currently. It'll be some water and mud with blasted tree trunks. I'm picturing Bastogne after a nasty German arty strike (minus the snow). Anyway, comments are always welcome!

Thanks! The base should be done by the end of the weekend...

I like everything about her, except the red/green parts.

They clash horribly with an otherwise stellar paintjob.

The weathering is top notch and the yellow is brilliant, however, so good job!

Well... she's done. I agreed with you about the color choices prior to the weathering. However, after completing the weathering and damage, it has grown on me to the point that I like it. That is the beauty of this hobby!

Anyway, hopefully Snaga will be joined in the near future by several other Knights. This kit is by far one of the best I have ever worked with. Thanks for all your comments and taking a look.
