So the muse kicked me in the face last night and told me to try out a paint mix I'd been thinking of for a while.

The undercoat is Prussian Blue, which is the standard colour on my mainstream Alpha Legion troops. This metallic variant is going to be applied to my "Alpha Knights" if you will, and I'm pretty sure you can guess where that name is going.

The paint itself is equal parts of VMC Gunmetal Blue, with Golden's Fluid Fine Iridescent Pearl and Interference Green mixed in. I applied it over the prussian blue on the wing, the engine cowling, and a good portion of the tail before I decided I needed to get some sleep.

Thoughts? I think it turned out rather nicely.

The paint job looks good, the beetle bluish-green is a good.

I recommend you follow the tips and tricks in my signature below and take better pictures. Good lighting and a clean background does wonders for model pictures.
