Hello,
Does anybody know where I can buy or get foam? I want to make my own eldar terrain but home depot doesn't sell the blocks anymore. They used to also sell sheets which I could just sandwich together and work with but they stopped selling those too. So does anybody still use foam to make terrain?

I live in Los Angeles, CA so if anybody from here know where I can buy some foam sheets or blocks then I would really appreciate the info. Thank you in advance

Are you sure you looked carefully at Home Depot? The one in Hyde Park stocks it. I would sort of be amazed if the others there didn't. Any construction/lumber yard will have it. It's kind of standard for house building.

They have foam but construction size. this is what that link gives me.

I only need less than a quarter of that. Where would I store it? Its like needing a nail but having to buy a house to get it.

If you want such a small amount, either buy the 8x4 sheet and get rid of the rest (i.e. donate to someone else) or ask for spare bits from someone else who might have some.

You don't have to keep it that size. You can cut it down and stack it for later use.

Yeah I just bought a big sheet and cut it up.

You could go to a foam cutting place and ask for offcuts, but goodness knows what you'll get.

Home depot is the place to go; make sure to snag a hot wire cutter!

I grabbed 4x 55 gallon bags full of 2" thick pink foam off cuts from a local dumpster. I gave 2 bags to another wargamer and kept 2 for my self. Keep your eyes out, you never know what you can find.

Scavenging can be your very best friend in this hobby; I completely agreed and most anything you come across can be re purposed for modelling.
