A little 500 point force of Deathguard I'm working on.

Used an old miniature I had that came with a rather large Scythe. Unsure if I want to cut the flames off of the back and green stuff on some Destroyer Hives.

Putting that sack over the face of the Plague caster is a great idea!

Looks miles better than the daft face they put on the real model

Loving the finished plague marine - they look a lot better painted in a more "gritty" way than the cartoony ones in WD

What brand/color is that you used for their basecoat?

Army Painter Spray - Army Green.

I also used Army Painter Ink - Soft Tone

The combo of those with what ever colours you want the detailed bits to be make it so a baboon could produce similar quality miniatures as me

Looks awesome man! I need to get me some of that army painter spray! Where's the best place to purchase? was considering getting the citadel death Guard green spray but I feel like that army painter army green is the same shade and probably cheaper!

Agree - these look great with that Army painter green - Typhus conversion is great as well - I may have to try that as I see he is out of stock (getting a new model in plastic maybe?)

Any suggestions on where to get a Scythe that's the right size so I can try the same conversion?

And yeah the pics in the first post no longer work.

Not too sure what the model was. Got him for free from a third party bits seller years ago.

Another good scythe option is the Nurgle lord on top of the Glottkin

I used it for a Daemon Prince.

I've started a blog for these guys so all the pictures should be in the thread above. You can see the DP scythe conversion too
