Does anyone have experience or ideas for basing these? I dont like the metal wires which are unsupplied anyway. I am considering acrylic rods which will look like other GW flyers, making a highly textured base and having them sit on rocks or a wall, or putting them on some kind of kitbashed/home built tree.

I didnt receive the models yet so it partially depends on how they really look in person. Thanks in advance for any ideas or opinions.

Have a pack here somewhere, (unbuilt), partly for the same reason. my Gargoyles have had the clear stands painted a dark grey which with a dark coloured base works (also allows me to use the base when spraying them.

For these guys I was wondering on wire either painted the same dark grey or in a pale grey colour

I used brass rod painted black and it turned out well.

Here's what I came up with.

I cut up acrylic rods and glued them in place. What a pain in the ass kit for something so simple. Was kind of fun though.

Yeah that kit always looked like it was not worth all the effort to me.

To be honest, I will be really surprised if Skyslashers make it into the 8th ed codex. I cannot imagine the kit ever sold very well.

You could try these. Probably need to trim them up a bit, But the center wire being wrapped in clear plastic will help obscure the wire itself a bit. Might work.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
