Spoiler:

I bought a bunch of cheap Pegasus terrain from Spikeybits a few years ago. It wasn't expensive to begin with, and there was a sale.

It's pretty good terrain - it's heavy, sturdy, easy to assemble. It does have some downsides - it doesn't include a roof. That's no big deal - I just made a roof out of texture sheet styrene. I google some images of lead roofs on old churches and picked an appropriate size styrene, and painted accordingly.

I made some little walls near the roof with bits from 40k terrain kits and some styrene.

The roof fits a little loosely so I can lift it off.

Spoiler:

I also made a floor, again out of sheet styrene - easy peasy. I just painted it red and used some Minitaire ghost tints to shade the corners.

The little doors on the front open and close.

Spoiler:

Just windows on the back.

Spoiler:

For the parchment, I just printed out some latin phrases on my laser printer, and then dyed the paper in some water and ink. I wouldn't recommend this, it doesn't really dye it very strongly - I had touch it up with some Gryphonne Sepia, which would have been a lot easier to just do from the beginning.

Spoiler:

I have a ton more of this terrain, and am really happy with how it came out.

Really good job! It really fits the 40k aesthetic. I also love the posters and purity seals. The floor is great, and fantastic that the roof comes off for those heroic last stands in the middle of the church!

Sweet work there - I like the color you choose for the roof. Is that the base color of the Pegasus terrain plastic with a black wash? I'm going mine up very similar but I'm not sure how i want to handle the stone.

I painted it grey and washed it, but the base color is grey, just a little darker.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Simple design and execution. Less is more.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.
