Do anybody know a good plastic card to make wings out of?

The idea is to have the upper ridge of the tyranid warrior 'crack open' and reveal some folded wings underneath. Sort of like how a beetle does it. After a lot of thinking I think this could be the cheapest way to make shrikes. Warrior models alone are very expensive, buying bloodghaust or forge world wings on top of that just seems expensive.

Below are some example of wings. After that is a rough sketch of how I would do it. The pictures are from google, sorrt, I do not know the owner of the original picture.

You will need a plastic card thin enough to be manageable but not easily bent. They dont sell the exact plasticard I used for these anymore but anything around .7mm-1mm will work.

Zach where have you been all my life, those are very good.

I really like the gaunts down there, those are amazing. Good conversion on the doublebladed sword.

I was planing on keeping it transparent, and have them be folded over the back, not fully outstreched.

Class olson has this plastic card that is 0,3 mm think, but that is to thin perhaps?
