It's level 1, so I'll take very simple techniques and sloppy brush work for granted, but the lack of attention to cleaning up casting flaws is just ridiculously unprofessional. And leaving the wheels primer black, without even attempting to paint any of the details? I can't imagine anyone paying for this level of work, no matter how cheap it is. What you need to do is take some time off, work on improving your skills to the point that your current "epic tabletop" is the absolute minimum that you offer, and stop posting your first learning attempts. All having stuff like this on public display does is risk permanently associating your name with poor quality work and costing you future sales.

Also, please make a single thread for your work like other commission painters do. You don't need to make a separate thread for every model you paint, it just clutters up the forum.

Now I'm confused, I've seen all your posts now and whilst I think you got a solid foundation and I thought maybe its just proper el'cheapio commissions that someones firing out at a rate of knots, but I don't get how you're determining quality levels now, your basing on this is arguably better than your level 2, and the mistakes present here are present on your level 2 as well. Peregrine as posted above is offering you some solid advice, don't be discouraged I think you have the potential to improve a lot.
In future though one thread, and when you're learning state you're learning and trying new things. When you post things as commission work people are going to hold it to a higher standard.

So my service is a Table Top Level Service, you get different levels of Table top, but it stays in the table top range, i dont really do display levels of miniatures or miniatures that you look at and are just lost in shock and awe at its detail, i do what the client asks of me then when they have approved of the model i return it to them, simple enough, only ever had one complaint and that was due to error during shipping

Now im a less than average but im decent in building the stuff and this is not a commision this is more of an ebay "pro paint", without looking to much one can see countless of parts that still needs to be fixed such as bent parts that needs to be straightened out. Mold lines as said above and missing resin (or to much) that needs to be green stuffed.

Especially since this is a FW model I would have expected top notch prep as right now the customer will get a model with pretty good paint joob that it will have to remove in order to fix your construction misstakes.

"average infantry is under 20$ at silver"

should say under 5$; on average tabletop charges around 10$ and this is far below average tabletop quality

Yeah, this is just ridiculous. The intent here seems to be to take advantage of people who aren't familiar with commission painting with ambiguous "levels" and pictures that represent whatever level the OP wants them to at a given moment. $160 for painting a model with barely any shading/detailing/etc, blatant casting flaws left untouched, and large areas of bare primer is starting to make BTP look reasonable. And calling this kind of poor quality work "tabletop level"? Just no. This is bare-minimum "technically there is paint on the model", at best.

So, does the OP actually work for white metal games? Why are th watermarks taken off the photos?

$200 dollars for poor prep work and below average tabletop painting is ridiculous. I hope no one's enough of a sucker to pay that for this level of work.

Wow, that is crazy pricing for something like this, atm the tauros is 42 GBP= 54.75 USD; I only charge retail x2 on vehicles for a professional job, so a tauros would be 109.50 USD for the painting. that include cleaning, barrel drilling, pinning, magnets if necessary, sub assembly and tack gluing so the parts suppose to move does.

Either I'm selling myself short, which I don't think I am, or your pricing is out of this orbit for your service.

for above table top standard i have generally seen the pricing do model price, and table top be just under it, not double the price.

Im charging 500 to do a Ta'nar from box to model with both shoulder mounted guns. So thats slightly over the entire cost of the model because im also doing assembly and cleaning of it.

To many unpainted models to count.

Sorry, I have to agree with Big Mac on this one for rates.
I charge 200% item RRP for "tabletop" and 300% for "display". I really don't like working for less than minimum wage though - but each to their own.

Oh i have no problem charging more, for people who are skilled enough for it, im not trying to do it as a primary source of income, more or less, i getta paint a cool model and make a little cash to fund my hobby with. I think my quality is good, but no where near full blown studio painters.

To many unpainted models to count.

According to White Metal Games' Artist's Profiles, he does. Same picture and description on both their site and his. I normally don't go out of my way to throw people under the bus, but I've had half my army go missing off a commission once, and the rest of it came back looking like an 8-year old painted them, so it's a bit of a sore spot with me. I don't like the idea of people sending their expensive models to a charlatan, and then paying for sub-par work.

So OP:

-For $200 (WMG pricing), I would be driving down there to get my money back. Or the $20+shipping (your personal site), I would be filing a dispute with Paypal the moment I got a solid look at the model.

I am not a painter, but I could do a better job with that model with minimal effort. You left flaws in the casting, parts are bent, and overall it looks like you just glued it together with zero prep. Which means a good chunk of that very basic paint job will be coming off to fix all of that. I would be furious if I ordered from FW and had you wreck it like that.

Whats so weird is that the skill level of WMG is so wide, i wonder if each painter handles different levels.

To many unpainted models to count.
