Here is my latest DP for my undivided army it's a little bigger then the plastic GW kit but I have a hellbrute made in to a DP and it's not taller then that so I'm good with it.

Ive seen some toys/dolls like that turned into good DPs, just need more work into it.

I suggest getting the lower half of the Tyranid Mawloc for the snake part, then mold it with some greenstuff to the top half. You need to do a repaint/wash/highlight on it so it looks more like a model.
