Howdy All!
Been away from Dakka for a while and nothing seemed to be happening hobby-wise.... UNTIL NOW! I have started putting together a Night Goblins army for AOS using the old style metal goblins that I had when I was younger (stripped and ready for painting). So far I have managed to get a unit of 20 painted and the limited White Dwarf subscription Warboss. I have been doing them in batches of 10 and am trying to get as many finished as I can for a big AOS game that my gaming group has planned for a months time. I know I will never get everything painted in time but having a deadline works wonders for productivity.
This will be an ongoing project as I don't want to rush any of the models with the end goal of having a fully painted army that is a bit better than tabletop quality. Checkout my Blog link in sig for extra pics/projects.
Anyway, on with the show!

That paintjob looks great and really does those old models justice.

I'm so glad that there seems to be a retro revolution with older models going on. These were always some of my favorite models from back when I first started to collect and play. I hated the betters because my hand was not steady enough to paint the dark spots between the ropes , glad I have learned a thing or two since then. Great job on these, keep them coming

Thanks for the kind words Man I’m the same, I love these old models so much, each one is full of character something I think the currant range has lost.
Will keep going and hopefully have an update soon

Nice work on bringing these models into the 21st century! For some reason I particularly like the gong. It reminds me of the one my grandmother used on the farm to call us in for dinner.

Every gaming table needs a wheatfield!
I took a bit of MDF and added sections of walls/fences from GW's excellent "Walls & Fences" kit. I then used some Polyfilla to mold these to the base and also build up some raised "bank" sections to help better hide the door matt rubber base. I then chucked some paint and flock about and it ended up like this

Very nice , I’ve been playing with small terrain recently and just haven’t found a good cheap doormat that doesn’t have something written on it. Love how it’s k8nd of dual purpose with a barren fiel$ an$ then a grown field.

Thanks man! I’ve noticed that Ikea seems to sell cheap plain doormats so you might have luck there. I also have plans for a cabbage and pumpkin patch for the next field, will it work out? Time will tell!
