I found an old rat ogre from years back up in my attic, and after a little play with some other bits I had knocking about, I thought his might be a fun conversion. I'm not sure this could proxy for a wulfen in a game, but as my Space Wolves army is woefully small I'm not worried about that, I rarely field them.

I took a pair of pliers to the legs, and binned off the old feet and square base. After cutting off the legs of an old Dire wolf Mini I had laying around, (also from the attic) I positioned and fixed the legs in that "dog-leg" style common in Hollywood werewolves.

For the head I'm not even sure where the spare part came from, was just in my box, but with a little green stuff I adapted it to a power armour style helmet with fur around. I also built on some power armour parts, the remains of his Astartes armour, broken and trapped on him once taken by the curse of the wulfen. Some bits are simply chopped plastic, the leg armour is green stuff. I need to get hold of some chain bits to link the chest and back plates over the shoulders.

For weaponry, inspired by the twin claws from the wulfen kit I used 2 claws from the SW dreadnought kit, adapted to fit his large wrist. On the other side my intent is to place a storm shield, but this will have to wait until after painting.

To add detail I added various SW bits from the wolf pack box and some hoses from his power armour to various locations. As a later addition, I also added a bony spine made from part of an undead rider's horse. More additions coming before I'm happy to paint it I think.

C+C welcome

I'm doing my own thing because it's fun. And it takes longer, which means more entertainment value for my cash. So there
