I am trying to decide between these two schemes. I know i am not the best painter and I had 2 desk lamps on this so hopefully there is enough light. Its basically a blend of Behemoth skin and Leviathan Carapace. They are very similiar, excpet for the fleshy parts. What do you like best? Please vote.

I like the muddier color. The devourer could use a wash to give it more depth too. Maybe red?

They have a "wash" of Bloodletter Glaze.

The Glaze products are not washes. Glazes are 1) VERY transparent and 2) basically highlighter fluid. They brighten and enhance a color but they don't really get into the recesses and help them stand out by adding depth. A darker wash will make those little hive bits and creases pop.

I can try Carroburg crimson wash on the devouerers, but i like the brightness of the fleshy bits.

@azhday- i like the carapce color on that, that would be my skin though.

B - its a bit more subtle / understated. In a good way.

no offence, but i cant see the difference....
not bad colour selction tough.

since you moust likely will be painting alot of nids my suggestion is to use the approach that takes the least amount of time per model.

@ FrozenDwarf The difference is very slight, basically i used different wash on the exposed fleshy parts, bloodletter vs sepia.

@ Raitus The B gaunts are easier since it's only 1 wash,rather than 2
