I thought I should dokument my tyranids. I am trying to paint up my tyranids with the arival of the codex and 8th edition. In 5yh edition I had some half painted units with some bad colour schemes. At the beginning of 8th edition I started painting leviathan. sticking to my guns even with the new leviathan rules.
First 2 work in progress pictures. Trying to paint 15 warriors.
If the weather is good on sunday I might try to do some photoes with a nice backround. I think some of the models are very good and finished. But I need daylight. These sporadic work in progress pictures are a bit low qualaty.

I am making a prime. The legs are hive tyrant legs. He is also standing on some rocks on the base. The reason for posing hun like this is because his legs did not end up even.
I like his hight though. But i need to find 2 boneswords for him. I am buying some more warriors, but I need 4 pair of boneswords, not 3.
Automatically Appended Next Post: All my models keep chiping. Partucurarly on spikes and edges. I need to learn to glue them on the base to prevent this.
I am also putting down the first layer of paint with a brush instead of a spraycan. Perhaps that causes the chipping?
You can see where i cut and platic glued the tyrant legs to a spare tail i bought online. They work fine.
You can see how crocked the end of the legs are. But the base fixes this. (I need to find the right way to dirty that SM helmet. )
You can also see the green stuf bridge to make him taller. Othervice he would be to low. The bridge is wjere the tail meets the stomack.

A long time since I posted. But I have been bussy. 9 Warriors almpst done. Prime comming along but I can not find 2 boneswords. Mighy go for the whip and sword.
I am very happy with my 2 lictors. 2 months ago they where grey, unpainted and crude early conversions. I had to brush them up.
I will post the warriors once they are all done.
Edit: I see my phone did not flip the pictures corectly. :(
