After proxing one practice game. I purchased models, bitz, extra pieces and fabricated and painted all in 16days. To play these 10 puppies in a GT this past weekend.

Thanks a bunch. I didnt think to take pictures, but here is how I did it. I wanted the plasma vents? of the plasma portion to show, so appose to just cutting a bolter tip, I went a little further back.

Here is how, and it sounds hard, it was super easy.

1) 10 Cataphracti Combi Bolters.
2) Take the half of the combi bolter that does not have the fist and cut off the slide/barrell that is in front of that sides magazine
3) Take a plasma pistol and cut off the but of the gun and the handle/trigger. Basicaly right were the plasma vent ends.
4) File a little bit of the plasma pistols inside.
5) Glue the Combi bolter full half and the combi bolter cut piece together
6) Glue in the Plasma pistol piece.

I am not very experienced with converting. But I used a modeling saw to do my cutting, then fine files to get in all perfect.

Yea, you can also do it with the standard terminator combi bolters. just use sharp chisels and a file to cut the required space away. Chisels are way under advertised and make life so much easier, I use them all the time. You can buy a really nice set from Micro Mark for about 16 bucks if I remember.

I play Word Bearers. Mark of Slan. I originally started the Army last edition, and was just going to counts as Ultra battle company. But when the CSM dropped or this edition, I had to jump at it.
