Hey guys ive been stuck for a few days now on what colors to choose for my tyranid army.

The skins on my guys are done in this purple, and the chitin carapace will be done in this electric blue, but I'm fairly stuck on everything else.

The talons and swords I was thinking about being either green or glossy obsidian black, and then the guns either green or a fleshy reddish-pink.

Lastly is the question of the vents and ribbing on their bodies.
Here are several color examples of what I'd like; a lilac to match skin colors, a green which could be on the weapons, a reddish pink which could be on the guns, and a quick mock up of what orange would look like (bright orange is the tertiary color for both the purple and blue).

Which do you think looks the best in combination?

I'm leaning more towards black swords, green vents, and reddish or orange guns at this point myself.

I've always been a fan of less-is-more...and the closer to "real", the creepier. Never much cared for overly exuberant colours on Tyranids. So something milky and real would probably appeal to me the most. Something like the way ThirdEyeNuke does her fleshy bits.

However, that doesn't matter if you like a colour combination - then go with it. I think overly bright ribbing on the bodies would detract a bit.

Go with the green. Purple skin, green vents, blue carapace, your working a Analogous color scheme. A cool palette.

This one had been done by PowerElephant using only my paints. The colour scheme on this, to me, makes it look poisonous

Thats ganna be a really nice look, love the carapce!

For the details, eyes, tongues and things you want to "pop" my advice is to go for a opposing color on the color wheel

This colorwheel is the "real color wheel" with the primary colors as magenta, cyan and yellow. You're using a lot of purple and blues, so yellows and greens are the opposing colors.

AS for the scythes and bones I would paint them black with a really minimalistic edge highlight of bright green.
