I just got into 40k and started to paint my first necrons. I choose Novokh dynasty. I wanted to try and dye their body red with opaque red armor. The result I got was a bit more pinkish than I like (probably because I choose a bright chrome for a base). I'm hopging that making the base black, painting the gun and doing some chrome highlights may tone it down a bit. But was also considering a soft tone, strong tone, or nuln oil wash, but am afraid that may make it look worse. Any advice? Or do you like it or not? I keep going back and forth on if I love it or not. Maybe the gun and base paint will help.

Also should I add the flouro green or use red instead for gun "runes", coils etc. Maybe a bright red.

First try Nuln Oil over it all, if you still don't like it I'd recommend
Priming Black, Dry Brush Leadbelcher, Dye Red, Nuln Oil, Highlights/More Dye depending on what you want to achieve

P'tah Dynasty
Iron Warriors
Dark Eldar
