Hi there.

I'm looking for advise on a completely new painting style for my next project. Whilst his artwork is not every bodies cup of tea, John Blanche uses some weird palettes, with lots of yellow brown and red to compose his work.

I am looking to attempt to replicate something like this is a new army. Something completely alternative to my standard and average level skill set. I imagine that if I just go at this myself with a lot of mixed up dry brushing I'll end up with a lot of Miniatures in the dettol...

Anybody got any advise as to how To select the right colours for the project, or whether a change of painting medium away from acrylic may Be in order to achieve these results?

I've included a few of his art pieces and two miniatures that have used his styling, from a quick google search.

Any help from seasoned painters would be most grateful.

Initially I a man considering this for a daemon force, which may influence people's advise, especially with the palette choices. If I can find myself enough confidence I may progress to a necromunda gang using a wide range palette!

Thank all.
