Subject: How To Paint Colored Metallics?

I'm trying to paint a primaris intercessor in metallic turquoise and metallic white (Scheme wise think angels of redemption with the green swapped for turquoise). I already figured out the metallic white (ceramite white base layered with vallejo metal medium) but can't quite figure out how to get the turquoise. What I'm trying for is basically temple guard blue made metallic but I'm not sure how to get the temple guard blue side as metallic as the white side. I can't just layer over the blue in the same way I did with the white because the metallic medium will just make it silver, but I can't mix the medium into the temple guard blue because then the blue half will be notably less shiny than the white side, somthing I don't want.
The only way I can think of is to paint the whole mini white and then shade, then layer with white, then layer with metal medium, then somehow create a glaze with temple guard blue, somthing I both don't know how to do and think would end up too dull.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get the look I'm going for?

Well, part of the problem is your painting the metal medium over the white, which gives it more shine. You'll also notice that the Temple Guard Blue gets a little lighter when you mix metallic medium into it as well.
Aside from that, I'm not entirely sure what you might do, though you could look at Scale75's Cobalt Alchemy, it's a light blue semi-translucent metallic that might help you get that shiny blue.

I found that there was almost no shine if I mixed the metal medium with the white. Do you have any reccomendations on what I can do to the white to make it match better?

Iridescent Medium is good for making metallics out of any acrylic color. Just mix it with any paint and you are good to go.
https://www.liquitex.com/iridescentmedium/
I've used it on a few models. It only takes a tiny bit to create a metallic sheen, and you can go heavy to make the color really pop.
As with any other medium, you are reducing the pigment concentration when introducing a new medium. Test your paint several times before trying to apply it to a big batch of models.

A potential solution would be to up the ratio of metal medium is my best suggestion at that point. Conversely, I've taken to using Golden Arts' Iridescent Pearl in my mixes lately, works quite nicely.

Check Reaper Miniatures for metallic colors of paint. They have a huge range. That's how I got my metallic orange.
Their Emerald Green might be what you want.

Check Tamiya paints. They do a green and a blue clear coat...and their clear colors are great. Maybe mix them, over metallics? I’d say boltgun->wash nuln oil->dry brush stormhost silver->Tamiya clearcoat.

Warcolours makes a large line of metallic paints that are excellent and cheap, but shipping takes a couple weeks.
Reaper makes colored metallics, I've not used their Master series metallics but their regular master paints are OK. Their old Pro line of colored metallics were terrible, not sure if they even still make those.
And you can also use an ink over the metallics to get a candy effect. Badger makes Ghost Tints specifically for this, but any turqoise ink should work

Ok, here's an update. I changed the color scheme a bit, now it's red and blue instead of white and blue. I found that the temple guard blue got too bright once I added the metal medium so I used 1 part sotek green and 1 part metal medium. It seems to have given me the look I wanted because once I added the metal medium the sotek green was very close to the temple guard blue and because I only needed one coat to get the metallic effect the temple guard blue also shows through enough to work. I'll attach an image of the work in progress model (the base and gun still need to be painted and I still need to make the red metallic.) Thanks for all the reccomendations guys! I'll definately look into them for the next time I need to do metallic colors (because this method was a nuisance.)
EDIT: Please excuse that the image is sideways, I don't know why it did that.
