So! Celestial dark space marine!
Mostly going to be Primaris, with a few normal marines , scouts, and an IG tank or two! but they will come much later.

not played a game for about 20 years, so any advice will be greatly appreciated. . . What codex to use will be the firs hurdle, should i play it safe and go Ultramarines?

I have done a few test minis, i wanted a really fast paint scheme otherwise they will never get finished.i may paint the odd one well, but definitely not all the troops!

im looking to complete a 2000 point army,
So i can swap out units depending on what forces im up against, this may stretch to 3000 points but only using 2000 points.[if you know what i mean!]

so here are the test minis, the guy in the middle is finished, the ones either side just require transfers, which i will apply when i have a few more marines done.

then 3 more Primaris marines, and ill do transfers on all 6 or 7 minis!

Nice job! My only recommendation (and this is admittedly a preference on my part) would be to use the fully helmeted heads instead.

But no paint

Got the assassin done!
Although i will give him another aerial when i find my paperclips! where the hell are they!

And got Mr Hopalong finished, the head is not glued on, and i have stole it from another un-finished mini.

photos are a bit bright, but you can see the component better, will lay down some paint soon! Just a few more to glue!

I would also recommend using the full skull helmets as well! you can also get the chaos space marine sprues and get the skull helmets they have for the nightlords as it would fit your aesthetic!

A friend here (Albertorius) just messaged me an example of his kitbashed primaris chaplain that I think shows off how well the full helmet heads look on primaris models.

Looking cool so far. I like the paint scheme. Also a fan of the bionic leg conversion.

Hi Guys, i know you all want me to paint some helmeted heads!
Well . . . . . Its not happening today
Made a few mods to some scouts, still got another 5 to go!
but i promise there are lots of helmeted marines on the way.
the core of the army will have helmets!

But not the one im working on right now!
will post unpainted pics tomoz! and painted pics on monday, base cats are already done!

I still have stone and grass to put on the bases, so dont crit me on that. im workin hard fellas!

Scrapped the previous head and torso cos i screwed up the paint job.

well you have seen a quick pic, of the redemptor progress, its going a bit slow cos im working on 2 at the same time.
but almost finished a tech marine, just noticed he could do with some dark paint in the sleeves! got this conversion idea off another member on Dakka!
And a quick wip of my librarian!
