It looks an awful lot like Army Painter "Desert Yellow", or the Afrika Korps Yellow from Battlefront or Plastic Soldier Company.

It's very much a kind of ochre, or dark sandy colour.

Yep, could be Zandri Dust with some washes, etc. But if the picture is accurate and you wanted to reproduce the tone a general colour like Desert Yellow would get you there.

Its more Zamisi Desert than Zandri Dust. (good lord I hate the citadel names..)

Its hard to beat the Army Painter sprays for folks w/o an airbrush when it comes to vehicle models. You are right solid choice but I listed alternatives just in case he had other needs and other brands of paint on hand.

I've long since given up on trying to match colors by product as there are just too many options out there. And often the names change over time (specifically for GW).
I've therefore learned how to mix the colors I need by looking at them.

If I'm doing a lot of models with that color, I take a mental note of the proportions on paints used to mix and I haven't had any issues with consistency yet.

I highly recommend this approach overall, but the suggested colors are a great start.

I didn't realize Zamisi Desert was an actual colour, I thought you meant Zandri Dust...ugh, GW...
