So I started randomly picking up EC stuff over the past year or so on eBay. Finally got enough together to start the army, which is based on the Maru Skara ROW. Up first are the machine killer Veterans. They are based on Palatine Blades and are armed with lots of melta stuff.

Those guys are lookin' pretty rad.

Thanks guys for the kind words. Darkstar, those are Palatine Blades with plastic MK IV arms. Got another squad I’m working on. Also tried to clean up the purple a little better. Should be posting another squad in a few days.

So I tried an extra wash on the purple to darken it up. I like it better now. Also I think the gun metal on the cables worked out well, I think
I’ll use that color on the next Palatine-Vets instead of white. These guys will eventually be riding in a Mars pattern Rhino. I think EC would prefer the sleeker version to the boxy Deimos pattern. I was flipping through Betrayal and noticed EC have blue eyes, so I need to go back and correct the Machine Killers. Man, what a cool name.

Next 5 Palatine Veterans done. This squad will have the plasma angle covered. First 5 are just Bolters. I’m going to use the 2 squad leader bodies for the Preator and Champion. They have too much bling for a standard marine. Even an EC marine. So I’ll need to pick up a couple extra on eBay. Hopefully anyway I don’t really want to buy another set. When I get them I’ll round out the squad. Up next is some assault Marines. Also, I went for the silver instead of white on these guys. I noticed in the HH books a lot of EC have silver trim as well. I think it looks better than the white.

So the first assault squad is done. They look a lot better than these pictures, I really need to get a light box. But I say that every time. I changed my mind regarding the silver shoulder vets. Going to rearm them as Combi plasma Seekers. An 8 man squad would fit snugly into a Proteus and works well with the Mary Skara better than a second bet squad. I think anyway.

So it’s been a while since I posted. I’ve been pretty busy with a bunch of stuff, so first is the Phobos. I was experimenting with black as the main color for vehicles. I think it looks fine but needs more purple. So the others will be primarily purple with black trim. I decided the second veteran squad with probably be better as plasma Seekers. They could just as easily by vets, I guess.

Nice looking Emperors Children, simple but elegant.

The EC are looking good, but the Land Raider falls flat by comparison. Really looks unfinished next to the minis.

Elbows, thank you and yes you have a point the Phobos looks a little bland. I finished the Proteus and used mostly purple, looks much better.

So, more assault marines. Not too much to say on that. I had some leftover quad mortar crew from my Imprial Fist army. I used MK III plastics so the whole army would be consistent. Anyway, they were just laying there so I slapped on a couple jump packs and some white paint. Will probably add a couple bits in the future. I think they will pass.

Thanks again Fiendus. So, 2 40k style Rhinos. Oridinarily I don’t like to mix 40k/30k tanks but these are ok. I think they match well with the EC aesthetics. And another thing. Phoenix Terminator Spears stink. 3 of them broke while I was straightening them out. And they were warm! I had to give up or risk worse damage. They look cool though.

And the army is done. I think it is absolutely comedy gold that Fulgrim favored Scimitars and Javelins because he liked the way they looked. The army is all done. I think it turned out ok. Thanks to everyone who stopped by.
