So I've been steadily working on the Pallid Hand vectorium of the Death Guard since 8th edition dropped, and now I've decided (for fluffy reasons and because I'm a conversion and kit-bash addict) to add some possessed to my army. I'm faced with a quandary and I'd welcome your views on it, dakkanauts!

How should I do Death Guard Possessed skin, in a way that works with bone armour and green shoulder pads?

To give this some context, I've experimented with bloodshot, fleshy tones, and gangrenous green tones on my regular plague marines and blightlords, but I wanted to pick something that made these clearly stand out as possessed - not merely mutated. So, any ideas? Purple perhaps?

Do you know what your sin is, Malcolm Reynolds?
Ah hell, I'm a fan of all seven.
But right now, I'm gonna have to go with wrath.

Yeah a pale, grey/white purple would look OK, or even a blue.

Take a look at what I've been painting and modelling: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/725222.page

Not a bad shout! I'm just dithering between making the flesh dark and contrasting or have it blend into the armour. I think the former would be more visually striking - and I think your suggestion of white/purple might work well there - whereas the second might look more sinister.
Thank you very much for the suggestion!
