Hello All,
Here are some photos of my latest works. Two are out of print models and one is a converted model.
I recently found the Inquisitor model at a local hobby store for $9.99. It was the original metal version. I snapped it up and did some minor conversion work on it. I always prefer the metal version of older
GW models to the Finecast resin versions.
The conversion work was mostly weapon change out with an icon added. The weapons are from one of the Ravening boxed kits. I modified the bolt pistol with a longer muzzle braked barrel and a chain added from the grip to the belt. The Icon is pinned to the back at the top of the fur line with some greenstuff script banners waving in the breeze.
The
OOP plastic Skaven Warlord/Clawlord is from the Warhammer Fantasy "Island of Blood" boxed game. It has been a while since I have painted any Skaven. I went back to the original Skaven codex from 1993 for inspiration. I found that the Space Wolves Grey Hunter Wolf Head decal works very well for a Skaven icon. Just rough up the edges of the decal with the background color the decal is on and paint on some horns. Boom! Skaven symbol. I have had this model assembled and primed for years like the Kharn model. I finally got around to them.
The Chaos Space Marines Kharn the Betrayer model is the
OOP metal version of this model. I added dirty skulls and spikes to the base. But I painted the skulls on Kharn cleaner like he has been polishing his trophies. Went with lighter color hair tassels like from Eldar to keep it a cleaner look.
I had this model mostly assembled and primed for over a decade. It was just gathering dust in a pile of other primed models. I was digging around for something else when I found him and decided it was time for him to see the light.
The Kharn and the Skaven Warlord are currently up on eBay auction if anybody is interested in them. The Inquisitor was sold last week. I just did not get around to posting his photos till now. Here is the link.
