Okay, so I returned to the hobby in january. Since then I've been working on two armies. I bought a lot of stuff, which all had to be primed (obviousy). However, I forgot that you have to use a spraycan in a well ventilated space. I have a small storage room opposite my appartment where I sprayed all my models but it is anything except well ventilated. I emptied 4 spraycans in a matter of months and I noticed that I started coughing a lot in my sleep. I also noticed that the floor in my storage room had turned black. It is literally covered in spraycan dust (check the photo).

So yeah, I'm an idiot ... You don't have to say it - I know.

But now I have another problem: How the hell do I clean this stuff up without getting lung cancer? Can I vacuum it? Should I use water and a sponge? I bought a mask so I don't have to breath in any more of that stuff.

I'd sweep as much out as possible using a dry sweeping brush. then get a mop or cloth and clean the rest.

If thats outside then if youre spraying, just keep that door open, and keep your exposure time short, wearing masks if necessary.

your lungs should sort themselves out once you reduce exposure.

I'd use a damp cloth first, to collect as much as possible without making it airborne. Use a mask.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Thanks all. I got a mask and cleaned the whole place. In the future I will be priming outside.
