Finally finished, and the whole model is done by hand. No air-brushing at all, just washes, dry brushing, layering, fades of blue...enjoy!!

Thanks guys. I'm gonna do a better pic later; it's definitely blurry on a laptop screen. But I appreciate it! Yeah, my wife teases me because her blending on wings blows mine away; but I'm very happy with how his came out. Next up...Morty!! I'll probably just update this thread with him next as well.

I like the effect on the magic ball. The painting is nice and clean. I feel like the large areas of colour need a little more contrast though. those big areas of red skin should be fairly forgiving if you were to layer up to some bright highlights. same on the wings, and the crest of hair. you could get some really nice effects on those.

I'd do a little more work on the base too. that white isn't really working colour wise with the rest of the model. white is the next step up from red in the colour spectrum, so you want a darker colour instead which will help him stand out more.

Fair play for doing the armour though. I have this model in my to do pile and I'm planning on doing him practically naked because I have no motivation to paint that armour.

Thank you for the feedback; honestly, I'm unhappy with how the pic came out, because the flesh has about 4 layers of color on it, same with the hair. So it's definitely detailed which doesn't show well on the model. And yeah, the armor is BUSY! Golds and silvers with a highlight of Stormhost Silver (so frigging good for detailing armor) with the blue bits with further highlighting...oof. The armor is tough because it's just...so...much....

And thank you, I'm pretty happy with how his flaming Magic 8 ball turned out as well!!

yeah I wondered if the photo may have washed a little out. try setting up an improvised light setup using a curved sheet of paper, then shine a desk lamp from in front and above. set this up facing a window for best results. you'll get a much improved photo.

Yeah, I dont want to hide all that skin with its huge canvas for contrast and shades, plus I think the nipple horns are a little weird...
