Hello All,

Here are some models from a commission work. The models are from "Otherworlds Miniatures" in the UK. They are very old school style models that look very much like the monsters from the old D&D monster manual from the late 1970's- early 1980's. Which I very much like.

The customer wanted me to paint them to look like how they looked on the Otherworlds site. They are some Goblins, Hobgoblins, an Orc, and a Minotaur. These models are all metal but I understand that some of the models that "Otherworlds" makes are resin. Some models are multi-part models that I pinned together. These models are rather simplistic compared to many of the new stuff that is available today but they have that old school charm that I find endearing. I especially like how much they look like the old D&D illustrations in the old Monster manuals. Which I have and prefer over what WoTC has been doing lately.

I added metal pins for the bowstrings on the Goblin bowmen. A little drilling at the ends of the bows, a little work on fitting and there you go bowstrings. I, myself prefer my bowmen to have bowstrings on their bows. It just feels wrong without them. Note that the Orc is the Pig-faced kind from old D&D illustrations and animated TV show.

Added photos of Otherworlds Troll models on June 7, 2019. These models are multipart metal models. There were small gaps around the arm socket connections but a little greenstuff fixed that right up.

These were fun to work on taking me back in time to my younger days of gaming.

Thanks for looking

D.

Ahaha, fantasy Alf, brilliant!

Paint style fits perfectly with the models.
A proper game pieces, well done, solid solid work.

The models reminded me of computer game I haven't played in a while "heroes of annihilated empires"

I really love the paintwork you did on those models. Really nice and suits the old DnD fantasy feels. I especially love the goblins

Updated June 13, 2019

I have added photos of some more commission works. They are 2 "Otherworlds Miniatures". An "EVil Mage" and a "Necromancer." They are painted exactly how the customer wanted.

They are metal models. They are what I would call Old school style D&D type models.

Thanks for looking.

They are kinda cool models. Fun to paint anyway. Otherworlds has quite a few old school style D&D models. I am glad this customer asked me to work on them for him. Otherwise, I might not have known about them.
