Hi was just wondering if anyone knows if you can use paint pens or i dont know very thin tipped pens for small writing or really detailed work over citadel paints? or perhaps with some treatment ?

Ball point pens don't work, but any felt tipped pen will be OK. Test it on a separate piece first, some of them are solvent soluble and will bleed if you varnish over them, years ago I used the ultra-fine black sharpies to line my Salamanders and got a little bit of bleeding when I clearcoated them. Also, wait at least overnight after you've painted the models for the paint to harden, fresh paint even if it's dry to the touch will clog up the pens

Try looking for Gunpla/Gundam pens.

Yeah to be honest I don't think there's a difference between Gundam/Gunpla, I think it's the same thing. I only know of the pens as I've seen youtubers detailing Bandai kits with them.

I use .005 Micron pens and even with my shaky hands it's far better than using a brush for detail work.
