Oooooooooh it's been a terribly long time but it's time for a new Blog!
While at Adepticon last March, a mate of mine Reiner72, despite my best intentions to NOT get into any new games/ranges/minis/collections etc while there, got me into a fantastic game called Judgement. Its a MOBA based/inspired game using 54mm scale models for it. And the models are stunning!!
So here shall be the WiPs and such as I work my way slowly through their range.

The first few posts are just going to be playing catch up of the characters I've finished so far

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Ok - so let's get started with some catchup. I brought 3 models back from Adepticon as a) theyre not cheap adn b) 3 is the minimum needed to play a game of Judgement.
The first one I set to painting was the one that won me my first game of Judgement!
Thorgar! The minotaur gladiator. Funnily enough he is an aggressor in Judgement. (There are different classes of hero; Aggressor, Defender, Soulgazer et cetera)

Had an absolute blast painting Thorgar! Just to avoid this looking like a massive eyebomb of huge photos - I'll put a large collage in open view and then medium sized individual shots in the spoiler if folk want to see more

Spoiler:

So there's Thorgar. He is an absolute BEAST in game!!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
So with Thorgar finished, it was time to move onto Haksa, the Orc Shaman. Again picked this fella up at Adepticon for no more reason than he was a seriously cool assed model!!!

Haksa is an orc but i just couldnt be bothered to go with the same ol same ol trad orc green skin and decieded to try something else. The Shaman tatts came after the skin work up much to my missus' chagrin LOL

Which brings us to mini #3 whcih I brought back from Adepticon - Kvarto the human pariah. This guy is just plum nasty!! Though he has a sad n sorry background he's still creepy as!

I tried out a new skin workup on Kvarto to try and make look dirty and slightly diseased looking but without making him look undead or Nurgley in the process. Very happy how he came out.
In game Kvarto is a hybrid class and is a whole bundle of nasty to the enemy being able to poison folks as well as set them on fire. Lovely!

Great work, glad to see you back .

I love the Orc Shaman guy, doesn’t need to be green to be mean . I definitely like his pose as well as the whole model in general out of the three.

What can you tell us Game wise about Jusgement? How many models per player in a typical game? Does terrain factor in?

LOL, Theo your mind is an amazing place, never change.-camkierhi 9/19/13

Cheers muchly everyone. Glad you like them. The Judgement minis are figgin awesome to paint and theyre actually game peices as well. 54mm - my favourite scale!

@Theophony - Judgement is essentially a moba inspired game - so its an 'arena' battle. There is some terrain but not as extensive as lets say 40K. The terrain depends on the map/mat you play on as there are a whole pile. Some have bits of forest, some lava pools and so on. Some heroes can pass through certian terrains without hassle, some cannot. There are also respawning monsters in the arena.
You can either play a 3v3 or 5v5 and these can also include a pick n ban system.
There's a really cool app for ios & android called warband commander which is freee and has all the rules, stat cards etc for the game.
The point of the game is basically to destroy your opponents effigy. There are differnt ways to do that. the more souls you harvest/collect - the weaker your opponents effify is and therefore easier to physically destroy. Thats it in a nutshell!

Righty -Just got the photos of this next hero finished up last night. He's been finsihed for a few weeks but i just didnt have the time to get the phtos done.
This is Allandir, an elf ranger and an aggressor class. Had a huge amount of fun on this guy and got to try a new worn faded black fabric workout out.
The Judgement minis come with sculpted bases which is aces but with Allandir's I wanted to add some more to it to give the idea of a wet moist forrest - so I added in some moss adn then then some dirty water effects to the pool.
I was totally chuffed when one of the creators of Judgement contacted me and asked if they could use my Allandir on their website!!! But jesus wept photogrpahing a mini against a white background like their wanted was a bugger!!
Anyways - here's the fella himself. Hope you like! Again collage pic in open view and then individual shots in the 'spoiler'

I have one more finished hero to show before we get onto current and new stuff etc. She is a called Nephenee, an elf scifi enforcer. I havent got the photos even taken yet!! I'll get them done soon as ....... hopefully.
The next Judgement mini I'm about to start painting is Sharn - a female orc defender. Stunning mini that premiered at Gencon this year.
I'll be starting her on my stream this sunday for 'Sunday Judgement'
I have an extra copy of Sharn as well which I'll be giving away at some point in the next few weeks.

Next for photos though is Nephenee. Think you're gonna dig her and I tried a whole bunch of new techniques on her and went a little out of my comfort zone at times!!
Here's a wee teaser pic in the meantime

Finally getting a bit of a start on Sharn. So so much still to do but made a start on her skin work and the main metals. Got her leather trousers taken care of today as well. Skin and leathers are all Scale 75 and the metallics are all Darkstar
