So something I have been struggling to be totally satisfied with is deciding on colours to use for my Dkk vehicles. I’ve seen some inspirational stuff out there and wanted to get some opinions on what colours to use to modulate my tanks. Preferably Vallejo or GW range paints, I wanted to go for the classic ‘blue grey’ look, ideally 3 colours to modulate. Any ideas what kind of paints are used in these images? I want to aim to replicate this kind of colour and style.

Dark reaper from gee dubs is the one that springs to my mind. Looks like it's been layered over pre shaded panels.

Dark Reaper may be a little too dark. Thunderhawk Blue maybe?

See I think thunderhawk is too blue for that tone.. I'd lay my money on DR over TH.

It looks too pale for Dark Reaper I agree, but also not blue enough for Thunderhawk. I think it’s something closer to Russ Grey.

Dark Reaper definitely looks more like the base coat on these I think, kind of need that deep blue grey for the base, probably the closest comparison yet thanks for the help!

Yeah I tried comparing my Russ Grey to the image and it seems close but its very blue, almost looks like Russ with a wash or filter to cut down the vibrancy? Need that dull look

Even the vehicles shares a similar colorscheme , in order to give an overall uniform appearance to the army. Those main colors are both GW and are: Mechanicus Standard Grey and Spacewolves Grey shaded with Abaddon Black and highlighted with several layers (and brands) of beige and white.

Do you think he’d be talking about Fenrisian as ‘Space Wolf Grey’ as the new Space Wolf Grey in GWs range is a contrast paint, on the conversion chart it does look like Fenrisian?

Just ask the guy who painted those up directly on his Instagram. Usually you'll get a response as to which paints were used, his painting techniques, etc. so it will save you both time and guesswork.
