I'm in the process of building a Praetorian Army using mostly Victoria Miniatures with a few OOP metal GW models but have not been able to really find any options for Vox's for my squads. I feel that the standard Cadian ones don't look quite right on the models. Even if I don't always run vox's I'd like to include them for model/theme reasons. Does anyone have an idea on where I can find some other options?

The Tempestus Scions box has a vox caster in it which just consists of a hand holding a telephone and a backpack; better than the cadian vox helmet I assume for a praetorian army?

How about a bugler touting in Horn instead of a Vox?

Maybe have the comms pack on the floor, with a cable to an antenna planted in the ground?

Take an ammo box from some unit like the heavy weapon team. Attach a plastic rod to be an antenna. Attach a guitar string to be a wire to the box. Attach wire to some suitable hand which looks like it holds a microphone. (This can be just a fist as a small mic would be completely inside the fist.) Attach hand to model and put box on ground. And done.

The praetorians are super old school, so a bugler from AoS free people is perfect rather than the vox backpack;

That's not a bad idea. it's on option if nothing else. Was kinda surprised at the lack of 3rd party conversion options for radio/vox packs

I though about going the bugle route. I still might if I can't find anything else that I like.

I just sculpt a little greenstuff backpack on them and then use the old paint bristle antennae trick.
Guy has a backpack with a antennae sticking out = vox caster.

Horns are good and well but don't forget the other classic:: flags.
Nothing says Imperial Guard more than a guy standing up straight and exposing himself to enemy fire because he needs to be seen by his fellow communications officer. Especially for Mordians and Praetorians.

The original cadian voxes were in a reasonably timeless haversack. Might be an option.

Flags are extra useful on a noisy battlefield -- and can be seen farther than any horn is heard.
I can just see the guys screaming "he is saying ... G ... E ... T ... B ... A ... C ... K .... L ... no wait I ... N ... T ./.. Something ... E ... F... I... G ... L? ... K?" Or something, Sir!"
"You 'eard the man, boys, get back in the fight!"

I'm not really looking for alternatives to vox/radio's, but any 3rd party options or conversion ideas. I can go the bugle route if there are not any, but I was hoping for suggestions of 3rd party as my searches has not really yielded much

I just made this out of a weapons teams power pack, two bits I had from a cadian vox caster, some decorative wire and GS. The gramophone head obviously needs a second layer to smooth it out, but I quite like the look and thinks it fits well in a squad of chapter serfs.
Maybe it can help
